Telecommuting, or teleworking, is working from home instead of traveling to work in an office. Telecommuting is coordinated directly with employers. The amount of time spent telecommuting can vary from a day to a few days a week. It all depends on the policy of the company
Compressed Work Week (CWW) can allow an employee to work a part-time or full-time position, but in a shorter period than a typical five-day work week. This schedule can look very different depending on what is agreed upon by the employee and employers. Here are some sample CWW schedules:
- Four Day/Forty Hours – Employees work ten-hour days on a four-day work week.
- Nine Day/Eighty Hours – Employees work nine-hour days and take one day off biweekly.
Benefits:
-
- Reduced commute time, stress and cost.
- Increased flexibility in coordinating work and family activities. You may work during the time of day when you are most productive.
