RedLink: A Free Rideshare Service in Redmond!

By Move Redmond

It’s been almost 3 months since RedLink launched, and the shuttle service is already succeeding at connecting neighborhoods to light rail. As Redmond continues to grow -especially with the opening of the 2 Line Crosslake Connection- RedLink is a great service in providing options and flexibility in how people move around Redmond.

What is Redlink?

The City of Redmond partnered with Circuit to launch the Redlink shuttle program in Redmond. Funded in part by a WSDOT Regional Mobility Grant, this free, on-demand service operates in parts of Downtown Redmond, Education Hill, and Southeast Redmond making it ideal for short trips like getting to work, school, a grocery store, light rail, and more! The shuttle program is currently in the pilot phase until June 2027.

How to use Redlink

Getting started with RedLink is simple.

1. Download the Ride Circuit App

The Circuit app is available to download on both Apple and Google Play store.

2. Create an Account

Once you have the app open, it will prompt you to either log in or create an account. If you have used the City of Bellevue’s BellHop service, log into your account and simply change the location to Redmond when in Redmond.

Otherwise, hit the button “Create Account” to begin the process of signing up. You will need to enter your phone number, and you will be provided with a confirmation code to complete the sign-up process.

3. Request a Ride

Requesting  a ride is simple! As long as you are within the service area, simply choose a pick up location, drop off location, and press “confirm route”.

Once you have confirmed your route, you will be asked how many passengers will be riding with you, and whether you need a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Once you have completed each prompt, it will notify a driver to accept your request, and the app will let you know how long your wait time will be until your driver arrives. Wait times can range between 5 and 10 minutes.  Make sure you are near the pick up location it lists on the app.

4. Enjoy the Ride!

Keep an eye out for the RedLink Van, hop on, and enjoy the ride! Keep in mind that there will be times where you have to share rides with other passengers.

Move Redmond is excited to see the service being used by community members to save on gas and reduce the use of personal vehicles for short trips. RedLink is not just a shuttle service, but a step forward to a more connected Redmond.
