With the opening of the 2 Line light rail, we’re excited to leverage this fantastic addition to our transportation network. Join us in envisioning a more connected Redmond as we showcase the benefits of accessible public transportation through our Open Streets Festivals! .

Join us on June 22nd from 10am to 3pm for the Move Redmond Overlake Village Open Streets Festival. The event will span from the Overlake Village Light Rail Station to Esterra Park, filling Calder Ave NE and NE Shen St with vendors, performers, and activities. Experience a lively atmosphere as we take over the streets, with an estimated 1,500+ attendees throughout the event creating a vibrant hub of connectivity. How To Get to Overlake Village Open Streets Festival

From Downtown Redmond By Transit

Need help planning your bus route to our Overlake Village Open Streets Festival? We got you covered! Grab your ORCA card and tap on the 545, 542, or B line for a direct transfer at Redmond Technology Station, where you can seamlessly catch the 2 Line to Overlake Village Station. From there, walk down 152nd Ave NE towards NE Shen St and make a left at NE Shen St towards Calder Ave NE.  

By Trail 

Enjoy the scenic route by biking along the Sammamish River Trail and connecting to the 520 Trail, which leads you directly to either the Redmond Technology Station Bridge where you can catch the 2 Line to Overlake Village Station or bike all the way to the Overlake Village Pedestrian Bridge to arrive at the Overlake Village Station. If you are coming from west, the 520 trail is your straight ride to the Overlake Pedestrian Bridge to arrive at the Overlake Village Station. From there, follow the music down 152ndn Ave NE to make a left at NE Shen St.

Need to Drive?

If you need to drive to our Open Streets Festival, that’s okay- we understand sometimes driving is the only option depending on your schedule. Consider making your trip multimodal by parking at either the South Bellevue Park & Ride or Redmond Technology Station and take the 2 line to the Overlake Village Station. From there, follow the music down 152ndn Ave NE to make a left at NE Shen St.

Take a Lime Scooter to the Festival 

Lime will be at the Overlake Village light rail station, ready for anyone who wants a quick ride to our Open Streets Festival. They’ll be providing promo codes for free rides and offering great giveaways, including helmets and drawstring bags!
